Buying the Lexington home of your dreams might be tough without decent credit. While you may have superb credit, becoming a victim to identity theft is going to ruin your plan to make any type of big purchase. To safegaurd your identity and your credit, there are several things you can do.

Start by phasing out your Social Security number as a password or ID number. Never use your birth date, address, or phone number for any type of password . Safely lock away or memorize passwords. Don't put them in your purse, wallet, or electronic organizer.

While paying credit card bills, only put the last four digits of the account on the check. Your account can still be opened with only the last four digits.

When giving out your personal information, always be wary. If something appears suspicious, it probably isn't for real. To make sure that you get the loan for your Lexington home , always trust your instincts
