Older Lexington homes may be affected by new remodel guidelines developed by the Environmental Protection Agency. For contractors taking part in remodels on homes built before 1978, the EPA requires lead training, certification, and safe work practice requirements. They hope to to remove the public health uneasiness of lead poisoning by the year 2010.
